The first reason I bought the MacBook was for a portable family comptuter for my wife and I. It handed all our files for everyday life great! I then began using the computer for Adobe products such as photoshop and doing some work on it. It runs the Adobe software about as fast as my work computer does. I have also used the computer for burning family DVDs and CDs. The Dual layer dvd drive is the bomb. I have backed up all kinds of files and burned a whole lot of dual layer dvds without any problems. We use the built in video cam for skype with my family. Works great and is fun to talk to anyone...
