a serious student, into the social scene
UC Davis is fantastic for many reasons, including the many different options for students, the quality professors and teaching assistants, and the different activities available to students. First and foremost, the quality of academics is very good. I have had many great professors here, along with wonderful teaching assistants who make sure you understand the material and go out of their way to help you.
