I purchased a GE spacesaver diswasher 18 inches wide.  I have a small galley kitchen, and space has always been a problem.  We have lived in the same house for 30 years and I never saw the need to purchase a dishwasher.  My children are grown and out of the house.  My husband is retired but is ill and I work part time outside of the house. It was time for a dishwasher.

This diswasher performs like a dream; it is energy star compliant and has a stainless steel interior.  There were other brands which cost less but I really got the quality for the price.
