When I was a young married woman I used to buy individual copies of Family Circle.  It's always been a good value, it has tons of recipes and interesting articles that suit the average household.  The magazine is not pretentious, it leans towards family and family values and is a good thing to donate when you are done with it.  The covers are always eye catching and the index helps you find whatever you want easily.  I now subscribe to Family CIrcle thereby getting it earlier than the newstands.  I can't wait to see what's inside as every month holds my attention and I love trying their new...
