This is a great Sony portable DVD player.  It has a 800 x 480 hi-resolution 9-inch screen so the picture looks sharp, unlike other brands with lower resolution screens.  It also has a rechargeable battery that lasts up to six hours before it needs recharged.  In addition, It has A/V inputs and outputs so you can feed the player's signal into a TV set, or feed a signal from an external device into the player and use it as a small TV monitor.  There are a full set of controls for brightness, contrast, and color.  The screen swivels and flips for easy viewing.
