To say it brought me to tears would be an understatement. The Road is a masterpiece. It was so beautifully written that it's hard to believe it is a work of fiction, althought, thankfully it is. One of my favorite pastimes is imagining a story as a film. If adapted correctly and casted appropriately ( I see Russel Crowe as the father and the little boy in "The Hours" as the son) it would undoubtedly Oscar worthy. Painful yet compelling, The Road is one of the best books I've read in many years and I read several books a year.
