who wants cold fries?

OK now, why on waiting on your food to be prepared would the ke everything else, sit it aside while you wait? My BF and I ordered fish sandwiches to go along with fries.....when getting our order and checking the bag, the fries were only "warm" but th sandwiches hot. That pretty much told you that the fries had been sitting waiting on the rest of the meal to come. This seems to be the NORM for most restaurants, even the one that I work at, a family restaurant. Get done what you can and out of the way, heck with the condition or freshness.
