I have been the owner of a HP Pavillion 9000 since June 2007. The machine was a bit quirky (probably due to Vista we figured) but we dealt with most of the networking issues. The DVD recording feature stopped functioning but we created work arounds for this too. In November 2008 the screen started displaying a bunch of lines and then went black. I had three days of hell dealing with customer support which put $400 for video card repair on my credit card when I requested a box and thought I was paying for shipping.
