I purchased this printer to be able to print photos.  I thought that it was nice to have 4 different ink cartridges also so I didn't need to purchase another one if just one ink color ran out.  It worked fine right after I got it and still works, but I have noticed that I just can't seem to get the pictures quite right anymore.  I've had it for at least 10 years though, so I don't really use it as a photo printer anymore.  It still works great as a regular printer or as a printer to get an idea what a photo would look like, or to use as a photo printer for a photo that you are going to switch...
