Microsoft has rewritten the Office interface. The "ribbon" has replaced the standard toolbar. Items are grouped better, but as others say, it is a learning curve. Overall, a new user could learn pretty quickly, while previous version users will have to hunt a little for the usual commands. While the program is not a slim version, a standard computer today with 1 gig of ram should have no problems running it. The biggest cons are the file format is new.
