Southwest Airlines definitely is different from the rest.  It has its own personality.  The flight attendants are often hilarious.

Yes there is not seat assignments but it's so much easier to get on and not worry about it.  The new seating call still has some kinks to work out, but all in all its quick and easy.

I fly approximately once a month for business.  This is the budget conscious choice for us.
