I liked the size and shape of this fryer better for cooking fried chicken, It seems like we can fit more in with out having to stack them so much. We use the fryer about every other week to make fried chicken, chicken nuggets, french fries or pre-made frozen fried foods. It heats up pretty quickly, but you do need to remember to let it reheat after each batch. The controls are a little confusing, but now that we have been using it for 6 months, I think both my husband and myself have it all figured out.
