PetSmart Beta Fish

Good for a beginner

My first fish was a Betta fish from PetSmart. He lived for about a year and a half in my care, which is average. PetSmart, like many other pet stores, sells Betta fish that are one to two years old because they have more developed fins. The staff was very helpful. I had a few problems with fin rot, but it was easily fixed. A great first fish, especially if you are interested in small tropical fish such as guppies, mollies and platys.
