I thought this movie was very well acted out. I liked Ryan Phillipe's portrayal of a soldier doing his duty and just wanting to go home. He served his country faithfully and he believed he was getting out, unfortunately, he did so well, and the war is still going on, that he gets stop-lossed, wherein his service is actually lengthened without his permission, according to the army.
I also like that Channing Tatum does such a great job as a confused and traumatized soldier, then he turns around and does a good job. I dislike it that the friend kills himself due to challenges in his life.
