There is more to Hawaii that the said white sand beaches. Which in my experince aren't so white. I was very turned off by the Waikiki beaches, which were milky white water with residues of sunscreen instead of clear blue water. I found three beaches that are worth a day of your time, and figures they are no where close to each other. Lani Kai beach park, on the southeast end of the island, Waimea bay on the north shore, and Ko'Olina lagoons on the west side of O'ahu. I found my time was better spent on hikes.
