For a community college, it's an okay place. You can certainly do worse. I've taken some classes there. Sometimes the teachers know what they're talking about, sometimes not. The students there tend to be strictly academic and not very into making friends with their classmates. It's really just a place to knock some credits out of the way for cheap. Most of the people who go there are either poor or immigrants or didn't do well in hihg school or want to save money. None of those are necessarily bad, but if you can, spring for UMD instead.
