    NOW FOR MY "MISSES"

On August 19th, I detailed my favorite HITS among my first year's worth of reviews.

Now for my MISSES -- a few products which proved less promising than I first believed they were. Once again, in no particular order.

Today?   HITS! (In no particular order)

    1. FLOR CARPET TILES: I've used several types and, in my "animal" house am extremely pleased with durability. On the basis of my experience I'd say choose a patterned...

fun loving, often garden-grimy myself, happy with old products that still work, practical, all for quick and easy

That great, gray, gritty bar.  I saw my first Lava Soap in my little Swedish grandma's bathroom when I was about five.  To wash with it was to experience the I-Mean-Business tingle of volcanic pumice.  Why, there was even a volcano on the wrapper.  Awesome!

Today,  Heavy Duty Lava's been slicked up a bit colorwise.  Moisturizers have been added to both the bar and Lava Liquid.  But, just as it was a favorite with coal miners and oil-rig workers in the 1890s, Lava Soap remains the province of dirty people.

Dirty people like me, always grubbing around in the garden without gloves.  People...

Thanks for the comment. I am definitely going to try Zycam the next time my sinuses flare up. Have a great weekend!

I like the Pics, you added. The June 09 driveway gardens is so cute... I too had a nest of baby birds ( cardinals ) this summer in my Weigela bush. I never got around to taking pictures because Mom and Pop cardinal were very, very, alert and guarded. By the time I got a ladder to snap a pic they were back!

Like the review of the French Durex glasses. I'm sure I'll be really happy with this product and can add it to my collection of dinnerware that last.. such as my Corelle dinnerware set that I have yet to do a review on.

    Vetsy.
