My mom and I had the same (Motorola) phone, and both of us had the problem of the ear speaker going out so that you could hear people talking to you only when you put the phone on speakerphone.

However, my phone was dropped into some water, and it still works.  I made the mistake of trying to dry it out myself with a little help from the hair dryer (I know!  I'm in the future, too!), so I caused a little damage to the phone, which made the camera stop working.

Decent phone, but not the best.
