I was skeptical when my husband bought the Presto Microwave Popper and a bag of popcorn kernels.  It has proven to be one of the best, purchases that we have made in the last several years.  No more preservatives and toxins from traditional microwave popcorn. With the popper you use can use very little oil (maybe no oil is possible?) and nearly every kernel pops every time.
