We have owned the Wii system for more than a year now.  We purchased the system (Wii Sports bundle) one additional game - Wii Play, that comes with an extra controller.  Since then, we have added quite a few games to our library.

While the Wii offers a different array of games than other game systems - i.e. you won't find a lot of first-person shooters - it has a considerable game selection.
