There's only one reason I purchased a cordless phone about 6 months ago. I spend most of my time in the family room, and the handset to my landline is at the computer facing away from our TV. Therefore, if I ever want to watch a ballgame or anything else that demands my attention on the tube, I must either put the DVR on hold or miss some of my program to get up and answer the phone.
