This product is a good way to ensure that your dog has enough water, as it does take awhile for it to empty.  So, if you're going to be leaving your pet for a longer than usual period (say, overnight), it does bring peace of mind.  Or, if you have multiple pets and find yourself needing to refill the water bowl constantly, it would also be a good choice.

It does have several problems though.  It takes a few times to get the hang of putting the full container on the bottom receptacle, and until you get good at it, plan on wiping up some major spills.  Also, when filled with water the container...
