We switched from Similac Advance after 1 month of bottle feeding, and noticed a significant change in stools. The Similac was much softer and seedy, whereas the Cosco's Kirkland formula was uniform and much harder. This was accompanied by strain and crying during bowel movements. All of these are signs of constipation, requiring adding water to the diet, which is not normal for a 1 month old. This change was 100% correlated to the formula, and we even switched back after a month of using Costco's Kirkland formula to Similac when we ran out, and the very next stool was back to normal. ...
