Subaru Legacy - 1999

1999 Subaru Legacy, slow, not the best gas milage, problematic.

I currently own a 1999 Subaru Legacy L (not the Outback) and if I wasn't a Subaru Mechanic and got this car cheap, I wouldn't own it. For those that are unaware, Subaru's have a major issue with bad head gaskets on all models up to the 2003 model year. They used a poor quality gasket to seal the heads and I have replaced no less then 100 sets of gaskets over the past three years. Usually the engines go until around 100k miles before this repair is needed, however I have seen cars with as little as 30k on them losing coolant from these bad gaskets.
