Recently returned from an amazing trip to Lagos, Nigeria and Portofino, Italy.  My best friend got married in both locations - one was a traditional Nigerian engagement ceremony and the other was an amazing destination in wedding in the Italian riveria.  I thought about reviewing the experience on Viewpoints - but where to begin and end?  Cultural experience of exploring Lagos - 5 stars!  Stunning views of the Italian seashore - 5 stars!   The food in Lagos - SPICY, 5 stars!  The champagne and wine in Italy - 5 stars!  So, instead I uploaded a few photos from our trip to try to share the experience here, although they definitley do not do it justice.  Enjoy!

Happy February everyone!  Is spring here yet????   Well, I can't take another day of this cold and so I am making my escape, though briefly, from the artic Chicago cold for a quick trip down to New Orleans!  I haven't been since college and I'm SOOO excited!   Does anyone have any recommendations for New Orleans?  So far, we are doing a little pre Mardi Gras celebrating mixed in with a day with Habitat for Humanity to do our part, however small, to help re-build an amazing American city.   But I'm open to suggestions from the viewpoints community...

Has anyone written a review on the pros/cons of having 2 dogs instead of one?  :) Check out the pics of Ernie that I just uploaded.  He is French Bulldog and is SO CUTE I could die.  And Bamboo got along great with him.  But are we really up for another dog????   Hmmmm....

TGIF!!  Hope you are all set to enjoy your weekend!  Personally, my goal for the weekend is to winterize my garden and cut down the plants before winter arrives.  I know me (and my procrastination tendencies when it comes to yard work) and really want to do it before it's 20 degrees out and it becomes totally miserable.    But surely I can post-pone it for a few more weeks...right???

Status check at 9 on Tuesday.   I am hating - baseball in Chicago, rainy days, and losing my iphone in a taxi this weekend.  On the bright side, I'm loving the new profile page here! 

Update Oct: 12.  New (costly) iphone purchased today.  Sigh.

I am a new addition to the Viewpoints team and am excited to get started! Can't wait to read -- and take advantage of -- all of the good info in the recommendations here. And watch out as I start to unleash my (twisted?) opinions on the world... :)
