I bought this fountain several years ago. While cleanup is almost painful, both my cats loved it from the start. — I disagree about the length of time the info sheet claims the water lasts - that really depends upon the cats and if you purchase the extra reservoir. However, the bonus is that because the fountain filters the water it's not necessary to clean out the bowl and provide fresh water daily.
