This bed is GREAT for a couple who like different levels of firmness/softness in a mattress.  This way, each person can adjust to their own comfort level.  Also, since you can always add more air, you don't develop a "dent" like you would with a spring mattress.  The ability to adjust firmness is nice if you need it to be different once in a while (you hurt your back and need more support, extra support during pregnancy) without having to buy a whole new mattress.  It is very durable too, our dogs are off and on the bed all of the time and we have had no problems.  You do have to reinflate...
