This case is minimal in design.  There is only room for the laptop itself.  It can be used as a briefcase with the handles and/or the shoulder strap. You can also use it as a laptop sleeve that's packed in larger bag. Their literature states that it uses closed cell foam, high impact plastic, "Splash-proof" zippers and their own quilted satin tuxedo lining - all encased in a highly water-resistant, ballistic nylon shell.  There is very thick padding in the lining.
