The NuVal Scoring System is a system that is used at Meijer Stores.  NuVal is a system that takes all the information on the nutrition bar of foods and using a formula thought up by MIT scores each item.  One is the lowest score and one-hundred is the highest.  this is a great system for comparing similar items.  I was amazed that just the little switches that you can make from one item to another, can make a huge difference.  But I think what shocked me even more was the so called "healthy food" (organic, all naturals).  These item were a lot of the time either having the same number as...
