    Hi Kids!

    My migraine is backing off and I'm happy to report that I am in full write and read mode. I'll be reading YOUR reviews and rating them all week. Gotta catch up with all my pals and all the great new writers here.

    Non-members! Do you know you can rate our reviews Helpful (or not)? Just click on the YES (or no) button after the review when asked if the review was helpful. Please don't rate no if you don't agree with the opinions because, really, opinions are just that. Better than rating no, jump in and write a review and tell us your experience! If you find that the review is informative (even if you don't agree with the conclusion), please take a moment to rate us Helpful. We thrive on feedback and love to see those Helpful votes go up!

    Thanks to all who expressed concern over my computer virus and then my major migraine. You guys are awesome!

    I'm down and out with a neck injury related migraine. I'll be right back after my head allows me to move, see, and function. Well, at least 2009 isn't shockingly different from 2008. So far anyway. Gimme a day or two and I'll catch up with you all. My brain is willing but my head will not cooperate. Ugh.

    Whoo hoo! I just posted my 1200th review! It seems like it was only a few weeks ago that I was celebrating my first 100 reviews on this site. I have had a blast writing reviews here and am shooting for 1300 in a few months. I certainly have enough "stuff" to review! I truly hope my reviews help you to make some buying choices. Obviously, I am not the authority on what is and isn't a good buy but I like to share my experiences and add them to other people's so shoppers can get an idea of how I personally felt about a product or service. Your mileage may vary.

    I'm getting back to reading more reviews, rating more, checking out newbie reviews (I really love to read  reviews from new members!), and even getting back to the message boards. I'm not completely virus free (my computer, that is) but I'm getting there!

    Thanks for all your support and do know, if you are not a member here, you can still rate reviews. Just click yes or no when asked if the review you are reading is helpful. Yes would be preferable. :) We try hard and, if you don't agree with our opinions, that's cool but not a great reason to rate us a no. It's a reason to write your own review to tell your experience! The more opinions the better. And now I must start on review #1201. See ya on the site!

    Wow, January's almost over and I STILL am battling this computer virus. It's obvious a new computer is in my future but why right after Christmas? ARGH. I have been trying to get here and write and rate when I can or, should I say, when the virus allows me to. It does crazy things. The other night, I wrote a review and the page was blank! No words typed even though I saw the words when I typed them. How strange is THAT? I have typed backwards, gotten a blue screen mid review, and lost almost everything on my hard drive. My DVD/CD player was attacked and doesn't work now. People who come up with trojans (of the computer variety) and viruses are really not nice people. AT ALL.

    Please know I often rate without commenting  because I either can't type or all my letters are the letter "B". Really! It's almost funny if it wasn't ... happening to ME. The other night, everything worked but the letter "T". I had to copy and paste a T everywhere one belonged. NOT FUN!

    I hope to get back to the boards and meeting all the new people here very soon. Maybe February will bring me luck. Or a new computer. Probably the latter.

    I'm here but kind of struggling still. Just wanted you to know why I nearly dropped off the face of Viewpoints. Miss you all and miss the interaction. As Ahhhnold would say..."Ahhhllll be Baahhhck!"

    I'm sorry I have not been around but my computer hates me. I am hoping to resolve the problem VERY soon and catch up on everything I missed over the last few weeks. I didn't realize how much I depended on the computer to keep me in touch with the world - and my friends. I am going to try to rate and review now and hope for the best. Miss you all!!

    ~~~HAPPY NEW YEAR!~~~
    I'm hoping 2009 will be a great year for us all! It's been a tough year for me personally but I've been through worse, that's for sure. I started 2008 with a huge vertigo spell on January 1 and the vertigo stuck around until MAY! It was tough to walk and scary to sleep but here I am! Still standing (and not wobbling at last!). I'm sure you all had your bad and good times in 2008. I hope the good times outweigh the bad for us all in the new year.
    Keep on reviewing, rating, and making VP the best site it can be!
    MERRY CHRISTMAS!
    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
    My computer is crazy and I can't get to each of your profiles to say this to you individually but please know I wish every one of you reading this, member or not, a very Merry Christmas and/or happy holidays. Whatever you celebrate, spend time with those you love. Time is so precious and so are the people that matter most!
    Yay! I'm still kind of able to access the net with my buggy, wormy, infected computer. It is doing ALL kinds of weird things. It turns off while I am typing, gives me dozens of error messages out of the blue, pop ups come flying at me like fireworks, folders are disappearing. Ahhh, technology!
    But the good news is, while I was stressing the computer, I broke a tooth. Wait, that isn't the good news. I grind my teeth when I am stressed and I broke a molar. I was sure it was going to have to be pulled but, lo and behold, Mr Dentist Man fixed it. Thankfully I had my MP3 Player to divert my attention from two people with scary utensils tugging at my face.
    I am trying very hard to keep up with your reviews and to write my own. Sometimes (like just a minute ago)., I just can't type. I will be typing along and nothing comes out. Can computer keys run out of ink? And yesterday. I was typing completely backwards! I was stunned at how cool that was but that didn't get my work done.
    Nonetheless, I wanted to say HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you all. Be good to one another and enjoy the spirit of the season. I will - when I finish shopping. DOH!
    If I disappear, I shall return as soon as I can!
    As we speed toward Christmas, the trojan virus worm thing is speeding to eat my hard drive as well as destroy my computer. Every day, fewer programs work, more error messages pop up, and more things are disappearing. I have done everything to stop this virus and it is stronger and more determined than I.
    I am going to try a full reformat of the hard drive if possible but that will mean I will be without most of my usual programs and have to reinstall everything all over again. But if it works....
    I saw a really good deal on a Dell laptop at Wal-Mart (It's yellow, too!) for $600.00. I may just have to try to get that to keep on working.
    Please know I AM trying to get to your reviews and everything else. I keep getting randomly shut down and then when I restart, I am hit with 30 or 40 error messages at least before the desktop loads and, to my dismay, more stuff is gone or no longer working. I promise to catch up ASAP.
    Hey Santa...about that yellow Dell at Wal-Mart. Hook me up, will ya. ;)
    Special thanks to my good buddy Mike Maroon who has tirelessly tried to help me through this. I owe him a million dollars. Really! :)
    Dear Santa,
    I have been a good girl this year but I still ended up with five very serious Trojan viruses on my computer that are crippling me. I can't seem to rid my computer of these nasty things and they are really slowing me down. I can't get to where I need to go and the pop ups are driving me crazy.
    This year, I don't want more shoes, clothes, jewelry, or cosmetics. I don't even want more exercise stuff (much). I just want to warn everyone NOT to download AVG 2009. That is where I, and others, got these terrible viruses that may end up blowing up our hard drives.
    So, Santa, could you please give me a nice clean hard drive for Christmas free of viruses so I can get my work done? And maybe add in a few extra hours a day so I can catch up?
    Thank you.
    Sincerely,
    Patty Therre
    PS: If you really want to give me something under the tree, I need a Dell laptop computer battery. The viruses somehow blew the battery up and Dell won't give me a new one because it wasn't "their fault".
    HAPPY 23rd BIRTHDAY, DAN (Mr----X). My boy is SO not a boy anymore.
    Ya know, I complain a lot around here. Not about Viewpoints. I heart VP. But about life in general. However, today, on Thanksgiving Day, I have nothing but gratefulness in my heart. I have a great hubby, two really wonderful sons, and a loving extended family. I love my pets who are truly a part of my family. I have my health for the most part and I have a roof over my head and food in my belly, which I don't take for granted.
    I am also thankful for my online friends here and on other sites. You guys make me laugh, give me the impetus to work on when I want to sleep all day, and make me think. I'm very lucky in many ways.
    Now, if I could get this kitten on speed to stop reeking havoc....
    HAPPY THANKSGIVING to all in the US and have a wonderful day to those outside of the US (who don't celebrate the holiday today). We all have things to be grateful for. Let's stop and remember those things today.
    Well! Did you know there is a condition called "Computer Eyes"? Me neither and that's not the real name of it but I apparently have ticked my eyes off by being on the computer for 16 or more hours a day without giving them a break. Add to that the fact that I have a severe astigmatism and don't wear contacts or glasses to correct it and it stands to reason that eventually my eyes would revolt - and they have.
    But I'm taking care of the problem by only using the computer for an hour at a time with an hour break and I'm getting contacts that I swear I WILL wear.
    I'm going slow but I'm here and catching up with reviews, the discussion boards, and comments. I'm only taking Thanksgiving off because it's my son's (Mr----X)'s 23rd birthday. Wow...23.
    Anyway! I'm here and have not flown the coop. I am catching up and getting back into the swing. Just have to rest my eyes now and then to reduce the inflammation behind them. If you see "phantom rates", that would be me zipping by and catching up!
    Welcome to my annual November illness. I have been feeling slightly rotten for the past couple of weeks and it all came to head last night. I was about to write a review when my eyes went wonky. I could see wiggly weird stuff out of the side of my eyes (in my peripheral vision) and it was so distracting. I have had a headache for a week which could be from sinuses.
    The eye thing got so annoying that I turned off the computer and covered them with a pillow. They slowly got a little better but I conked out at 10:30 p.m., something I NEVER do. I woke up at NOON! And I still have a bad headache and body aches. Ugh.
    I'm thinking sinus pressure and eye strain are causing this along with a touch of what my son has which is some wicked bug that makes him feel like crud. I need to keep my eyes rested so I will do what I can when I can as far as reading and rating and even writing. I see my eye guy Friday and maybe a real doctor soon but I loathe going to the doctor's because they just slap down antibiotics and send you on your way. I am not an advocate of antibiotics unless they are 100% necessary and I don't believe they are with most mild illnesses.
    Just so you know why I'm not on the discussion boards or really anywhere. I'm trying to heal myself with rest, less eye strain, and more rest. On that note I think I'll take a nap.
    I'll be back to my old perky (?) self soon and will catch up with everything. Oh, my head! Good thoughts and good karma welcome and appreciated. I get a little nervous when I have headaches like this because my mother and sister had brain aneurysms that started out this way and I have an 85% chance of also having one. Thus, I really hate headaches like this. Until later!
    November is here! Ugh, that means snow, sleet, rain, hail, and wind, usually all at once. And then there's the dark days and cold temperatures. Blah. This is SAD time and I am feeling it. Even using my special full spectrum light and exercising, I still feel exhausted all the time. That will pass in May. *sigh*
    ANYWAY... I just wanted to welcome you to my page and ask visitors to click on Helpful (the little green oblong thingy at the end of reviews) if you feel my review you read was informative even if you don't agree with my overall opinion. Our purpose here is simply to tell you what our experience with products and services were and to maybe help others to make a buying decision based on our individual experiences. And hey! Jump in and write some reviews. Let the world know what you thought of a product or service. This community is the best! Drama free and no pressure to write a thesis to make your review helpful to the masses.
    Have any questions? Problems? Comments? Leave them for me on my review comments area or on my profile page. You can make profile page comments private so please do if you want to speak only to me. I'm here to help in any way I can.
    And now, I'm off to read and rate reviews, write reviews, and hang out at the discussion boards. I hope to see you there.
    Well, well, well. Trick or treat came early for me. But I got tricked! Well, actually it's my own fault. In late July, I found a tiny abandoned kitten on the side of a highway and brought him home, intending to give him to a good home. He has one. MINE! He's now a VERY rambunctious four month old kitten who doesn't seem to have a "stop" button on him until he finally drops from exhaustion after completely destroying my house and terrorizing my dog and other cat. But I love the little punk.
    Anyway, about a week ago, we were playing and the sweet kitty I rescued and nursed back to health suddenly got devious and grasped my hand with his paws and took a couple of chunks out of my two fingers. I wasn't pleased. As luck would have it, the bites became infected and my hand is swollen and hurts like crazy. I just started on antibiotics for the infection and all should be well soon but forgive me if I'm not leaving long comments or any comments when I rate. It HURTS to type. Of all things, the evil kitten has slowed down my life by slowing down my internet activities!
    He's being tested for diseases but I'm sure he's free of anything that could be dangerous to him or me. He's just nuts. I'm typing this as he sleeps across my chest purring. He's still crazy but he hasn't bitten me since. I guess my screams scared him off and he decided instead to pull down my window blinds. lol.
    I AM reading and rating, kids. I just may not be able to comment a lot for a week or so. It took me about 45 minutes to type this with one hand. Welcome to my crazy life.  :)
