As far as laptops go the Dell inspiron 1720 has been pretty good. For the first year I owned it, the performance was really good and issues were very few. Only after the one year warranty expired did I really start to experience problems. The customer service reps from Dell have always been very UNhelpful, even rude and that was even during the purchasing process. Constant driver issues, battery issues, adapter problems and problems with connecting to the internet have been issues that were not just software related but required replacement of hardware.
