    When I replaced my heat pump, the service included a new programmable thermostat.  I just set it for summer and winter, when the weather changes.  I can set it in the winter to be cooler than I prefer.  Then heat up 1/2 hour before I come home.  The best winter feature is setting the the thermastat to be cooler at night, about 55 degrees.  I have a lot of allergies and having the room cold helps me breathe easier at night.  Then it is set to heat up to 70 degrees 1/2 hour before I get up and shower.  This is a great product, more people should check into this product, just to save money.... read full review »
