I was on a recent cruise to Roatan, Honduras, and did not want to book any of the ship's activities for the day. They seemed expensive and commerical to me. Instead, we booked a tour with Rony's Independant Tours, after reading rave reviews on Cruise Critic.

Rony is a native of Roatan, and will arrange the tour based on where you want to go, and want you want to see. He picked us up at the port, and drove through different parts of the island, explaining the history and pointing out landmarks. He made great recommendations based on what we wanted to do, and made sure the locals didn't rip us off....
