Researching tires is difficult.  Each manufacturer says its tires are best.  There are not enough independent tests to make a good judgement.  Everyone's driving habits are different.  Most auto websites with tire reviews do not reflect real world conditions.  The reviewers' opinions are useless because they are only looking at performance, have two or three sets of tires for each season and/or racing, and wear out their tires by 10K because they are aggressive drivers.  I suppose those reviews would be fine if I lived in a Southern climate and drove a Rice Rocket.  Consumer Reports does...

In response to PAULPRO's comment from Aug 29, 2009:

Really, that bad? Wow it was so nice when we lived there. But was really building up, like it was trying to keep up with chicago. That's how my husband and I felt. Everything just so fast. I would probably be quiet surprised now. I don't know which is the evil of the two Detroit is not so good right now. Automotive Capital, 28.5% unemployment rate, foreclosures all over the place. Our street at one time had 3 for sale, one up and left town, and one forclosed. I don't think there are 20 homes on our street. That was a scary site that summer. Better now (for our street anyhow). Thanks for the update. Oh have you ever eaten at Cheddar's? down by the Clock Tower? (I think that's where it was). I loved there Cheddar cheese soup and would love the recipe. It's probably closed by now.

Do you still live in Rockford, IL.? I lived there for 5 years, when we first moved there in "89 E. State St. and Mulford were all corn fields, when we left Shopping centers, is it still growing fast to keep up with Chicago? Just curious.
