I am a motorcycle enthusiast, since purchasing my first motorcycle at age twelve, a Yamaha 80. I collected and sold antique bottles to get the money for it. I bought and sold motorcycles for years until I finally started collecting them thirty six years ago. My collection now consists of thirty + bikes.
I raced for twenty plus years including hare scrambles, enduros, motocross and professional superbike road racing.
Included in my collection of motorcycles and scooters is my last race bike, a GSXR Suzuki. Other favorites in the collection consist of a Beta Techno, Husqvarnas, KTM's, Aprilia, Cagiva, Ducati and a Moto Morini. I also have a host of Japanese motorcycles. My wife enjoys helping me collect scooters.
Frequently I travel throughout the U.S. to AMA pro races, and attend the annual Moto GP in Monterey at Laguna Seca Raceway. One day I would hope to travel internationally for Moto GP races as well as ride internationally.
I spend considerable time daily reading every possible periodical about motorcycles. Reading periodicals is good for in-depth information, and web sites are good for instantaneous information.
Fly fishing is also my passion. It is a way I enjoy spending time with my motorcycle colleagues. May included some weeks of fly fishing for tarpon with motorcycle industry leaders, with all of us catching and releasing large tarpon.
Summer plans include more fly fishing in southwest Florida and the Florida Keys. Summer riding will be in North Carolina and the big race for the summer is the Laguna Seca Moto GP.
