Mario Puzo created an American mythology for the Sicilian Mafia with the publication of his acclaimed novel, The Godfather, in 1969. The novel was adapted into two Academy Award winning movies, The Godfather (1972) and The Godfather, Part 2 (1974). Puzo wrote three sequels to his novel: The Sicilian (1984), The Last Don (1996) and Omerta (2000-published after Puzo's death in 1999). Thanks for your comment. Wiesel is on the faculty of BU. You'll have to take a trip out to our terrific city. He's getting up there in age and it's up to us to make sure the Holocaust is always on people's minds so it can never happen again - though it is all over the world in other ways (: Thanks for the well wishes for our cruise. Being without a computer is truly a vacation and a source of anxiety at the same time!! Jo
