We were concerned that the nightlight we had in our daughter's room was too bright, plus I had fond memories of the glow-in-the-dark stars I had on my ceiling as an (older) child. When we found this, I knew it was perfect.

I don't know why they have this rated as 3+ years. I suppose because, if it is being used as an actual stuffed animal, it could be easily broken by a younger child. But it definitely has a place in the nursery!

From the moment we first turned it on, my daughter (who is now one year old -- we bought it when she was 9 months) has loved this. She won't go to sleep without her stars!...
