Recycle, Reduce, Reuse. If ever we have become a materialistic society, it's now. We all have to have the latest and greatest gizmos, doodads, and thingamabobs. But such things come with a price and I'm not just talking the tag on the item (which is normally enough to knock me over). I have become more aware of the entire package as I make a purchasing decision. Where did this product come from? What went into it, to create it? Who created it? What are the packaging products that housed this item, made of? Am I contributing more waste than can be compensated for the item I just purchased? Could I have spent that money more wisely? I stop if only for a moment, and I think. Sometimes I continue to buy the product intended on in the first place. But most of the time, I'm able to save my wallet and part of the planet all at the same time.
