I have been extremely satisfied with my Eureka Optima vacuum. I have purchased two in six years.  The price is below $50.00 and the air filter can be replaced or cleaned easily.   I chose this e because it is small, light, and has a great suction.  I like the fact that it is easy to dump the container of dirt without having to change bags.  The filter is also easy to remove and clean.  I have purchased other filters for this  so that while I am cleaning one filter, I have a backup.  The price was under $14.00 for all replacement parts I've seen.
