We took the cruise just before Katrina hit. It was a last minute thing the wife and I did just before going to Germany for two years. Everyone was helpful from the start to the end of the trip.
After parking and dropping off our luggage we hopped on the bus and took it to the terminal. We had to wait about an hour before we were signed in and allowed on the boat.
The ship left port on time and took the canal out to sea. It was wonderful watching the small houses and lights disappear into the night. We decided not to eat at the main dining time. We took a stroll on the decks and got oriented...
