We bought the original Magic Bullet because my husband wanted to grind up mincemeat from the jar. It is the perfect size for small jobs. He uses it to scramble eggs and I've chopped cheese. My favorite use is to grind coffee beans. The coarse grind makes a perfect cup of coffee in my drip coffee maker.
The motor smells hot when you use it, but I have a hand mixer that I've owned for nearly 50 years which works fine despite the same odor. It is designed to run for about 10 seconds at a time which is fine for every job we've tried. The newer one is larger - which wouldn't be good for...
