Benadryl Allerby Medicine can work great for allergies.  My husband is an allergy sufferer and it did work for him for a couple of years but he did need to only take it on a non-working day or just at night since it made him sleepy.  He also seemed to eventually develop a resistance to it effect as he has with most medications.  He seems to use a product for a few years and then it doesn't work as well, so he moves on to another product that will work for him.
