I'm looking forward to the year 2010.  The past year was kind of a 'best of times, worst of times' kind of year for me.  It's time to shake things up and make some big changes in my life again.

Another heavy snowfall here in Denver tonight - I guess it's going to be a long, long winter this year. Snow lovers and ski resorts are rejoicing though.

I am planning to move later this month. It's kind of nerve-wracking with all the economic uncertainty and the fact I'll need to care for a yard and do house maintenance, but I am looking forward to the challenge. And my dog wlll just love having a fenced yeard. He's tired of apartment life too !

I saw my first tornado today! Wow - kind of scary but was 20+  miles away so we were safe. The storm moved through a lightly populated area southeast of Denver and then out onto the open Plains.

When lived in the Midwest I once lived through a weak tornado (F0 rating) but it hit at 1AM so we didn't actually see it That storm blew off some of my neighbor's roofs. That's enough now!

I'm really looking forward to the weekend. I get President Day off for a holiday and can't wait for a little break from work!  In the meantime I've been finding more time to spend on Viewpoints and start preparing to buy a house later this year.

Another 10+ hour work day. I hope it eases up soon!   I don't have much time for Viewpoints anymore. On the bright side I'm looking forward to the Eagales vs. Cardinal football game next weekend. Who will make it to the SuperBowl?

The holidays were great but I'm glad they are over - I'm exhausted! I'll be pretty busy at work the next few weeks so won't be posting too many reviews. But I plan to spend some time on the site reading other reviews and looking for those that deserve a 'Helpful' vote. In the meantime, happy Viewpointing!

I'll be traveling over the Christmas holiday.  Praying the weather is good - I don't want to spend the weekend in an airport!  Merry Christmas!

2008 has been quite a year for me. Early in the year I sold my home, quit my job, and moved to Colorado. It was fun, but kind of a risky move. Like many others, I didn't realize the job market was about to tighten up.

I was thankful to find a job after a 7-1/2 month job search. Now I got to make sure I keep that job which means working some overtime. I'll still be around on Viewpoints, but not as much as I would like to be. In the meantime, I'll watch for all the great reviews my friends on Viewpoints are posting, and maybe still post a few reviews myself from time to time.

Want to write a review that lots of people will read?  Try reviewing health insurance. My review on that topic is getting almost 30 hits/week!

We had about 2'' of snow last night. Makes everything look ''Christmassy''.  The best part is that it won't stay cold for too long in Denver. The sun will be out shining brightly by noontime.

I had an unexpected health set-back this week and spent some time in the hospital.  Fortunately it was diagnosed quickly and I'll be back to work within a week.

The Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series!  That's a real rarity - just their second time in 124 years.  I grew up watching the Phillies and while they sometimes won, they mostly lost. They've actually lost more games than any other baseball franchise. But this year, for once, the Phillies are winners!

I started a new job this week.  With all the uneasiness in the stock market and prospect of a slower economy in the coming months, I feel very fortunate to have found a good job. Now I have to perform up to their expectations - yikes :O

10/17/08 - We're getting a taste of Indian Summer in Colorado.  I'm looking forward to some warm, sunny days so I can get-in some hiking and picture-taking time.

10/15/08 - I went hiking today in a small canyon with a stream running through it. Couldn't believe how beautiful it was - the trees changing colors, the warm sun, and a cool breeze blowing. It was very quiet too - except I occasionally heard some birds singing and an animal of some sort in the brush.
On the way back a park ranger asked me if I had seen those ''droppings'' on the trail. I had - and he told me it was from a black bear in the area. Yikes!  I wonder if the bear was watching me.

10/11/08 - We're getting our first taste of cold weather in Colorado for the season. Only in the 40s today, with drizzle and heavy cloud cover. Our usual sunny skies will return for all of next week though!
