I don't care where you live, you are going to be bothered by mosquitoes.  OK, maybe if you live at the North Pole, you don't have this problem.  The best, I mean, THE BEST, thing you can buy to ward off those pesky critters are the OFF Powerpad Lamps.  You can get the kind you sit on a table top or that can hang on a pole.  Both work great.  I use them around the house and have taken them on camping trips.  You get at least 15 feet of protection.
