Magnavox - DVD/VCR Combo

Not worth the money

I purchased this DVD/VCR combo less than a year ago. Last week, each time I put a tape in the VCR part, whether to watch or record, the tape would run for approximately 5-10 seconds, then the VCR would shut down. When I turn it back on, the tape ejects. I called Magnavox with the problem and was told that the labor warranty expired after 90 days. If I could find my receipt, I would need to photocopy it and send the VCR, along with a $45 money order, to their warehouse in Vermont, and they would take a look at it.
