Nickelback is apparently what many people define rock music by these days, for reasons that I do not know. First and foremost, their singer's voice is so deliciously pretentious that I cannot stop laughing at anytime I find myself in the unfortunate circumstances of hearing them on the radio. The guitar is standard pop fair; power chords backing a singer. Nothing more, nothing less. (Although some acoustic is popped in every now and then.
