The Eureka 431A Optima Vacuum is an amazing cleaning machine and has the Good Housekeeping Seal Of Approval.  I definitely agree with them. I bought one over a year ago for my kids to use upstairs in our huge brand new house which the upstairs is all carpet with the exception of the bathroom and I was amazed how my 9 yr old could make the carpet look so good. I often carried it downstairs to give the carpet a better cleaning than my cheap Kenmore vacuum cleaner.  I felt it did a deep clean and I could actually see the carpet had been vacuumed.  I have a dog with long fuzzy hair like a cat...
