Well it's the 29th of December and I've been looking at some new eVGA video cards on NewEgg.com and TigerDirect.com and I think I am going to go with NewEgg, their prices are a little bit cheaper. And I even found the same 9500 GT that I have, but I may just buy a faster video card for good measure if my power supply is powerful enough to run it. I think it's only a 550w stock power supply box, so I will have to check for sure, other wise I will be dealing with power issues along with video slow down and possibly causing damage to the card itself due to not enough power going to it and the fan.
I am hoping to just get enough money to buy a more powerful PC for my gaming needs. Of course by my reviews, I do play a ton of PC games, but right now. I reformatted my main drive, so any installed game(s) I had were wiped out completely.
I do have a secondary HDD though, that I do keep important things on such as saves, pics, documents etc. And I am also going to buy another HDD here soon cause I need more storage. So, onward to buy a decent IDE HDD cause the SATAs are still too much for my budget. I do have 4 SATA ports on my motherboard, but like I mention, I too have to watch power consumption.
k done for now
REVIEWING IS ON HOLD
My video card died a few days ago, my Geforce 9500 GT.So therefore, I cannot run any games at all, I can use it as a plain VGA adapter, but that is it. I am on the look out for a new video card, probably going to get a different one.
I will not be reviewing any games until further notice. Can't review something I can't play huh?
Anyways, wanted to brush that up. It will probably be a few months before I can get the money for a new video card.
Merry Christmas to all, and Merry Christmas Eve as well ;)
Over and out.
Well, I did a few more reviews and rewrote on a few of them to brush up on a few things that I left out. I am going to review a few other games that have just been released in the near future!
Some are for the NDS that I've gotten and most of course are for the PC, which I am a big PC Gamer, and I play A LOT of games.
If you wish to add me as a friend, do not be shy about it! I am a real human being just like you!
I do enjoy writing reviews for video games so people can decide if they want to buy it or not. I am very picky though when it comes to a game keeping my attention for long, most of the time, I do not play them long and they get deleted off my hard drive within a few days.
Some games haven't left my hard drive in over 10 years! So that tells you how picky I honestly am, and I will give you my very own personal opinion as well as how it runs on my own specs!
I recently bought an S-Video cable to reach to my TV so now I can play my favorite games on my big screen, unless my kids are watching TV, then I will use my dinky monitor.
Anyways, that's enough of reviews for today, I got a few more games coming soon when I get the money to pick them up. Once I do, I will let you know what I think of it, and if I hate it, the review will be quite short.
Ok, I have been slacking a lot lately, I have been really busy with the kids, and everyone getting sick... it is that time of year now where everyone ends up with the pig flu haha. Anyways, I haven't gotten many games lately. I did happen to buy Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 for the Playstation 2, cause they won't release it for the PC and all I have is an XBox and a PS2... so... that was my choice.
I will be reviewing the game within the next few days as I play it a little more and compare it to the other console versions of the game, which to me, there isn't much difference other than graphical qualities.
I also got Trine, which I will review.
Medal of Honor: Modern Warefare which I already beat, and I will review that too. Can't do any reviews today cause I am short on time and I gotta start dinner for the kids.
I also got Fuel which I've played a lot of so I will do a good and a bad review for this (uh oh, doesn't sound good for this game)
And I will also be reviewing Resident Evil 5 for the PC, so these are the only games I've gotten a hold of so far and played most of them, beaten a few, and just started on one. So either tomorrow (Saturday, or Sunday) i will review them all, I will let you know what I think. And remember people, these are PERSONAL opinions to help you decide if you will like them or not. I will also use FRAPs to test the FPS in each game and give you my FPS reading.
Also remember that I am on an AMD 4.8 GHz with a Geforce 9500 GT 1024 MB video card and Windows Vista x64 Home Premium OS. So the FPS reading is not official for everyone! If your PC is faster than mine, it will have no problems at all, if I can run it, so can you. Have a good Halloween everyone, I will review these ASAP!
Ok, I just got done with another game review for people to check out if you're interested in the new The Sims 3 game for the PC, go check it out, I wrote a decent review for it which explains a little more about the game itself. And to clear things up, you people may be wondering how I get so many games. Well its quite simple, I download them! Most of the games I do have are not bought, if I do like them enough I do buy them, so don't criticize me and say that I pirate. I do contribute if I deem it necessary.
I will not however help you download games, if you happen to stumble upon it, then that is you. Do not ask me about it, it will be ignored and deleted.
Do not post any negative review about my positive reviews and feedback. I fully test EVERYTHING for at least a month or 2, especially if it's a product, not a game. Games I go through quite fast and I am able to review them within a few days.
Products however, I will use them and see how well they work, how durable they are, and would I buy more from that manufacturer. Kinda like how this person nipple responded to my review on the Dorel 3 in 1 crib. This person only just bought it, never used it, and said it was easy to put together. But in the long run, the crib broke, not once, not twice, but 3 times with BRAND new replacement parts.
3rd of all, I do sometimes use foul language. If you are offended by the way I talk, you do not have to read my reviews at all. You can simply hit the "Home" link at the top of this website. And look for a different reviewer. I mainly deal with PC Games only cause I own a couple of computers actually.
The last console I owned was a PS2 and I sold it and all games with 16 MB memory cards for only $60, cause I have a PS2 emulator for my PC, so I don't need it. However I still do not review console games nor do I play them, even when you can just download them for free.
Next thing I want to clear up is that I am not a personal "social" type, i do not, and will not add you to a messenger, or any other "profile" website. It's not that I do not care to talk to you, it's just I do not have the time to do so. I have 2 kids to take care of, and I am always quite busy unless it's like it is now... 4 AM.
People may wonder do I read other peoples reviews? Yes, in fact, I've read a lot of peoples reviews cause when I do go shopping, I do not want to buy the wrong thing. Peoples personal reviews are to help you decide if it is worth your time and money. I appreciate every ones opinion!
Do I buy baby products? well, i kinda still do, but my youngest is nearing toddler age now, so the baby product reviews are not my main goal. A lot of stuff I have bought, he grew out of too quickly for him to use it long enough for me to make a good and helpful review to you.
That is it for this blog. Cya
I will not be posting any photo's of my family. Too many perverts out there... However, just so people do not get confused with my name, it's just an alias for online games... I am a father, I have 2 kids, and I do reviews for products that are ineffective, effective, and what you should look out for.
I am a 12 year + computer technician.
I dedicate my life to my fiancee and my children.
And also dedicate my life to video games in which I review as well once I play them long enough to ween out bug reports, crashes, etc.
I am really not here to make friends, just here to give people a heads up as to what they are getting themselves into from a personal experience.
