I never really understood the purpose of a toner before I tried this, but now I am hooked. I used to have a bottle of something else with salycilic acid, but it smelled noxious. This stuff, Neutrogena's anti-stress acne control toner, actually smells almost pleasant. It's like aloe and cucumber, I guess. Plus it's green. I've got to love something that is green, to neutralize my face's redness, even though of course there isn't enough coloring to actually show up.
