The OreckXL high speed upright vacuum system with micro-sweep and "intellishield" technology is a very good vacuum.  It has two different speeds and it really has good suction on both hard wood floors and carpets.  I have used it in every room of my house including the rooms with tile floors and on my good, thick, floor rugs.   On the thick floor rugs I have noticed that it is a little harder for me to push it along and when I am having joint pain I have to let my husband vacuum the rugs.  Of course he has no problem pushing it along.  The cord is extremely long and I like that because I...
